1765 21 Mar. George Wimberly, Senr. And wife, Morning (X) Wimberly, of Edgecombe Co. To George Wimberly, Junr., of same, for £500 current money two certain tracts of land whereon said George Wimberly, Junr. Then lived, bounded on the lower side by land belonging to Francis Elender, on the east side by the estate of Robert Coleman, deceased, Gregory Stallions, and Moses Woodard, on the west side by the estate of Henry Bond, deceased, and on the other side by the river. One tract was a royal patent to George Wimberly, Senr. Bearing date July 28, 1743 for 640 acres, out of which he sold 100 acres to Francis Elender; the other tract was a Granville grant for 370 acres bearing date Dec. 12, 1;760. Wit: Aquilla Sugg, Wm. Haywood. Mourning Wimberly was examined separately concerning her right of dower by Dempsey Grimes, Esq. Deed Book C, p. 285.

1765 21 Mar. George Wimberly and wife, Morning (X) Wimberly, of Edgecombe Co. to Josiah Murphree of same. For £50 a tract of 500 acres on Philip’s Branch adjoining Proctor, Benjamin Hart, and Joshua Wombwell, it being part of a tract of land said Wimberly bought of one Richard Swanson. Wit: Aquilla Sugg, Wm. Haywood. Mourning Wimberly was examined separately concerning her right of dower by Dempssey Grymes, Esq. Deed Book C, p. 319.

1765 5 July. George Wimberly, the Elder, of Edgecombe Co. to John Philips of same, for £5 10s, Virginia money a tract of 70 acres on Saddle Pocosin Branch adjoining Enoch Lewis and Joshua Womble (Wombwell), it being part of a tract of 570 acres of wich said Wimberly had already conveyed the other 500 acres to Josiah Murphree by deed. Wit: Wm. Haywood, George Wimberly. Deed Book C, p. 333.
