Joseph II 'Capt.' BRIDGER:
Notes:
VII. Joseph Bridger, the disinherited son of Colonel Joseph Bridger, engaged in a lengthy lawsuit with his brothers as evidenced by the records herein, but the suit seems to have been settled amicably. He married Elizabeth Norsworthy, daughter of John Norsworthy and granddaughter of Tristam Norsworthy, Burgess for Upper Norfolk (Nansemond)
in 1641. Joseph was a Captain of militia in 1702 and died in 1713. He willed his son, Joseph his "coulors, banner staff and appurtenances". His wife made her will in 1727 and left son Joseph a dish with coat of arms on it.''
