BLAKELY — Edwin Lewis "Ed" Cotton, 83, of 477 Morgan Rd., Arlington, died Saturday, September 10, 2005 at Calhoun Memorial Hospital in Arlington.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday at Arlington Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Arlington. Dr. Gary Haddens officiating.

Pallbearers are Mr. Cotton's grandsons; and honorary pallbearers are Roy Stuart's Sunday School Class.

Born July 31, 1922 in Greenville, KY, Mr. Cotton was the son of the late Charles Cotton and Bernie F. Walker Cotton and the widow of Mertice Wilson Cotton. He was a retired accountant and a member of Arlington Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas and Linda Cotton of Cordele and Jeff and Dorothy Cotton of Quincy, FL; a sister, Helen Harting of Louisville, KY; a brother, W.D. Cotton of Nashville, TN; and 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held today (Monday) from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
