Notes:

Sarah Dew was not named in the will of John Dew. Only daughter 'Patience' was named. John Dew made his will Sept 6, 1740, in Bertie County, and was probated, November Court, 1744, in Northampton County, North Carolina. Genealogy of some of the descendants of Thomas Dew : colonial Virginia pioneer immigrant, lists on page 172, that John Dew had a daughter Sarah Dew who married William Bridgers but she was dead at the time of her father's will. (see will abstract below of Sarah Cotton, dated 1753)
