John le Strange, 4th Baron Strange of Blackmere, was born 13 January 1332 to John le Strange, 2nd Baron Strange of Blackmere (1306-1349) and Ankaret Boteler (1316-1361) and died 12 May 1361 of unspecified causes. He married Mary FitzAlan (-1396) circa 1352

JOHN LESTRANGE, br. and h. male, 5. about Easter 1332 at Whitchurch,(e) aged 17 years and 37 weeks at the date of the inquisition after his br.’s death.(1) In 1354 he proved his age.(8) On 30 Oct. 1354 he had done homage and was to have his lands.(h) He was sum. to Parl. 3 Apr. (1360) 34 Edw. III by writ directed Johanni Lestraunge, whereby he is held to have become
LORD STRANGE or LESTRANGE. In 1360 he was in a commission for Salop.(i) He m. Mary, da. of Richard (FITZALAN),10th EARL of ARUNDEL, by his 1st wife Isabel, da. of Hugh (LE DESPENSER),LORD LE DESPENSER.(i) He d. 12. May 136I.(k) His widow (l. 29 Aug. I396.(1)
