A retired executive secretary of the Livingston Parish School Board, she was 82 and a resident and native of Baton Rouge.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Andy Netterville; a son and daughter-in-law, Matt and Gwen Cotton; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Rita and Nick Cannatella and Wilma Farmer, all of Baton Rouge; a brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Pat Richard, St. Francisville; and grandchildren Christie and Ryan Chapman, Abby Netterville, Eric Netterville and Bryan, Sean and Jacob Cotton.
Preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Cotton Jr.; parents, Elvin and Ollie Hidalgo Richard; a sister, Anna Mae Theriot; and a brother, Joseph Richard.
Pallbearers are Eric Netterville, Ryan Chapman, Bryan Cotton, Terry Decuir, Buster Culotta and David Stanley. Honorary pallbearers are Sean and Jacob Cotton and Shadi Sarhan.
She was a member of St. Jean Vianney Catholic Church. She was a volunteer for the Food Pantry at her church and a member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. She was an avid LSU fan.
