H. Patricia "Pat" Cotten, 77, of Marysville died Feb. 7

2001, at Rideout Memorial Hospital.
Born in Berkeley, she had been a Yuba-Sutter resident since 1989. She was an accountant, a member of the Fairview Community Church in Rio Oso and contributing writer for the South Sutter Connection. She was a volunteer for Valley Hospice/Fremont-Rideout Health Group the Area 4 Agency on Aging Advisory Council, California Department of Aging, and a tutor for the Sutter County Library Literacy Program and the Yuba College English Department.
Survivors include three daughters, Valerie DaPrato of Rio Oso, Robin Appleberry of Orangevale and Michelle Allen of Sacramento; a son Allen Cotten Jr. of Sacramento; two sisters, Sandra Martinez and Audrey Stevenson, both of California; 12 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, Allen Cotten Sr. Donations may be made to Fairview Community Church, 1991 Pacific Ave., Rio Oso, Calif. 95659; or the Literacy Program, care of Sutter County Library, 750 Forbes Ave., Yuba City, Calif. 95991.
Services: A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Community Church, Rio Oso. Private inurnment will be at Fairview Cemetery in Rio Oso.
