James M Tarbell was born at Mill Creek, April 28, 1826 and died in his 84th year on Feb. 11, 1910.
In young manhood he came west and worked at his trade, being a carpenter, Chicago and Monmouth, Ill. About 35 years ago he came to Lake Geneva as a workman on the Leiter place which was being built at that time. Not long afterward he was united in marriage with Mrs Lutheria Herrick. Mr Tarbell is survived by one brother, a son and daughter by a former marriage, and the widow and son, Noble.
The funeral was held from the home on Wisconsin Street Sunday afternoon, F.C. Richardson officiating, the burial in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Mrs Wm. Bridges, of Chicago, a neice of Mr Tarbell's was present at the funeral.
