Pages 72-73. To all Christian people to whome these presents shall come, I HENRY BLAGGRAVE of County of York send Greeting in our Lord God everlasting. Know yee that I HENRY BLAGGRAVE of New Kent County and heire to my Uncle, MANSELE BLAGGRAVE deced, have for the summe of Three thousand pounds of good sound merchantable tobbacco in caske to me in hand by Bill secured from Robert Wood and Thomas Wood, both of County of Richmond, by these presents make over confirme and make sure unto Robert Wood and Thomas Wood theire heires all my right title and interest of a parcell of land scituate in Parish of Farnham and County of Richmond upon the Westerne side of Farnham Creeke formerly granted by his late Excellency Sr. Wm. Berkeley, then Governor of Virga: unto Capt. DAVID MANSFIELD and Robert Fristow both deced: To have and to hold the parcell of land from me HENRY BLAGGRAVE my heires from all manner of person lay any clayme unto the land and to save harmless and indemnified said Robert Wood and Thomas Wood their heires In Wittnesse whereof I have hereunto sett my hand and Seale this 16th day of August Ano: 1706. (My Note: Mansell Blagrave would have been his half-uncle as Mansell Blagrave was the son of Mary Mansell, daughter of David Mansell. David Mansell wrote his will 24 July 1672 and Mansell was the only grandchild he named in his will. Mansell was not of age at the writing of his will.)

Mathew Ballard of the parish of Yorkhampton...suit of my wearing cloths to HENRY BLACKGROVE...rest of my wearing apparell...to be equally divided between my brothers Robert & John Ballard...all my lands negroes mony plantation in Virginia or elsewhere...to my son Mathew Ballard...in case he should happen to die without such heir...to be equally divided between my Brothers Robert & John Ballard...in case my brother Robert should refuse to permitt my brother John quietly to enjoy the moiety...then all...to my sd. brother John Ballard...Estate lodged in the hands of my execr untill my son become of the age of eighteen...friend Philip Lightfoot execr...10 May 1719. At a Vestry held for St. Mark Parish at the Church for laying the Parish levy on Thursday October the 10th 1734. Order that Timothy Johnson be paid 300 lbs. of tobacco for burying HENRY BLACKGROVE.
