Son Whitmill Cotton, negroes, etc and the land ajoining Smith's mill swamp, Josiah Nelms and Dominic Nelms which said land I bought of William Scott and Rasor Tippet, and if he dies under 21 the said property to go to my son Josiah Cotton. Negroes, etc. and the land in Scotland Neck which I bought of Richard Bennet when he is 21. Son James Cotton, negroes, etc and the land adjoining William Baker and if he dies under 21 the same to go to my son John Cotton, son Robert Cotton the land in Edgecombe Co. Which I bought of Daniel Woodard when he is 21 daughter Elizabeth Nelms, Mary Cotton and Dorothy Cotton, negroes, lend wife Anna Cotton negroes, etc and land to raise my small children (names not given).

To Sally, William, Dolphin and Eliza Tootle - the part of my Cypress Swamp land down to the Mill Swamp on the road to Norfleet Ferry. To Sally Tootle (daughter of Charity Tootle) - land where I live containing 8 acres. To Martha and Keziah (daughters of Charity Tootle) - land on Dannie (?) Branch containing 75 acres. Balance of estate to my nephew Benjamin W. Cotton provided he pay my legacies and also $1000 to William N. Steptoe.
