Her name is not listed in the will of John Cotten, dated May 1728. John Cotten does give to his son-in-laws:
Item. I Give to my Son In Law, JOHN TOMAS, one puter dish.
Item. I Give to my Son In Law, Capt. JOHN SPEARS, one puter dish.
Patience Cotten, daughter of John, married John Spears and she died 1725. It appears that the daughter of John Cotten, wife of John Thomas, died before John Cotten wrote his will in 1728.
