George Huffman was a native of Pennsylvania, but removed to Buckingham county, V-a., where he married and lived until 1789, when he brought his family to Missouri. He had five children : Peter, Christiana, George, Catherine and Elizabeth. Peter was a soldier in the War of 1812. He married Susan Senate, of Kentucky, and they had 13 children (the names of 11 of them were Elizabeth, Margaret, John, Sarah, George, Abraham, Maria, Lucinda, Lucretia, Elijah and Cass-ander). Christiana married Daniel Baldridge ; George married Catharine Wolf,and they had five children : Peter, Elizabeth, William, Abraham and James; Catharine married Henry Haverstakes; Elizabeth married John Weldon.
