1983 - Recollections from Rebecca Cordelia (Hall) Burton in reference to her father - Benjamin Perry Hall:
"Benjamin fought in the Civil War. He was born in Tennessee. Not much is known about his parents or family. He had a "fall out" with his family because of changing sides in the Civil war. He died at 90 years old and was buried in Howe, Le Flore Co., OK. He had 'another family' (probably previous marriage and children). John, Arthur and Rebecca were from his second marriage. Their family was from Rust, Arkansas. Benjamin was a farmer and had land in Arkansas."
Rebecca says she was born in Mena, Polk Co., Arkansas.
