The Orange County (Va.) records show that Mary Curtiss was appointed administratrix of the estate of Thomas Curtiss July 23, 1741, with Morgan Bryan and Joseph Bryan as bondsmen. The will of Mary Curtiss was probated in Orange County, February 25, 1742. She makes bequests to her daughter Mary Curtiss, and mentions her father Morgan Bryan and her mother Martha [sic] Bryan. Her brother Joseph Bryan is named as executor.
