Notes:
Marriages from the Minutes.
1737-1863.
10-31, 1747. Israel Boone, testified against for marrying out.
-----
No documented proof can be found on the sons of Israel.
Mrs. Spraker, Dr. J. E. Hodges and Dr. Draper's Manuscripts only assume that Jesse and Jonathan are the sons of Israel Boone. Others also state that though the process of elimination that John Boone, b. ca 1755 of Monroe Co., VA. was a son of Israel. In his pension application, he stated he was a nephew of Daniel Boone, and went hunting in Kentucky with his uncle Daniel in the year 1773, and returned to York Co., PA in 1774. John is either the son of Jonathan or Israel Boone brother's of Daniel.

p. 10 References to Boones in Moravian Records:
Sept. 1, 1755- "The consumptive (tuberculosis), Israel Boone, son of Squire and Sarah Morgan Boone was taken home by his brother, who came for him last evening. He-Mr. Boon_returned on the 6th, accompanied by his father, who remained overnight. On the 15th, his brother came for him once more and he left, there being little hope of his recovery. Vol.I, p. 137. A previous statement would indicate that he came for treatment on August 26, 1755.
p. 5 Israel (1726-1756), Draper quoting Samuel Boone, Israel's brother, says that Israel died June 26, 1756 at age 30 and was buried near the present Mocksville. There is no known tradition or reference to his being buried at the Old Joppa Cemetery. Draper also says that there were four children, two sons and two daughters, and that the daughters contracted consumption from their mother and died young. After Israel's death, two of the four children were reared by Daniel and Rebecca and two by other members of family. There is no known record of Israel Boone owning land in Davie County. However, the Rowan County Court minutes for Jan. 1765 name a road overseer "from the South Yadkin to Israel Boons old place." The family may have lived on one of Squire Boone's tracts. Israel's two sons went to Kentucky probably in 1779. (submitted by Sharon Primeau
